Unfortunately these days far too many corners are being cut on job sites which results in construction accidents that lead to injury, sometimes even death. American Safety Training put together a great list of phrases to look out for on the job site.
"Whenever you hear one of these phrases or something similar on the job, you should pay close attention to the situation at hand," said Benjamin Mangan, president and founder of MANCOMM and American Safety Training Inc. These two companies work together to develop and provide Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance products and safety training. "You may be able to stop an accident before it has happened."
Phrases include “we don’t have time”, “I know a shortcut”, “it’s not in the budget”, among others should be carefully paid attention to when it comes to working on a job site. Trying to avoid the connotations surrounding these phrases could lead to better safety on the job site and prevent many construction accidents from happening.
